Birth Injury - an injury that happens to a newborn during the birthing process or during pre-natal care.
Brain Injury - an injury to the brain caused by impact or vigorous acceleration/deceleration resulting in primary or leading to secondary injury.
Dog Bite - if a dog seizes or attempts to close it jaws and the teeth of the dog enter, grip or wound.
Failure to Diagnose - negligence by a physician to properly diagnose a health condition or disease that causes injury or death.
Foreign Object - an object that intrudes or is left behind during a medical procedure that is not intended to be left in the body.
Longshoreman's Act - includes coverage within the maritime industry for maritime workers performing their function in U.S. waters
Medical Malpractice - professional negligence by a health care provider in which care deviates from accepted standard of care.
Motor Vehicle Accident - or MVA, is a collision where road vehicles collide with another vehicle, pedestrian, building or other obstacle.
Personal Injury - an injury that is not to one's property one's personnal body.
Product Liability - the responsibility of manufacturers, distributors and sellers of products that they are free of defects which could harm an individual.
Labor Law - New York Labor Law Section 240 protects construction workers from extraordinary risk when working on or around scaffold and other life devices on construction sites.
Sexual Harassment - a form of sex discrimination that applies to employers of 15 or more employees and is in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Slip and Fall - a case where a person slips or trips and falls as the result of negligence of the property owner.
Wage Protection - people who may be insolvent or whose assets are protected by state law and can not be collected from by a creditor.
Wrongful Death - the death of a human being that results from a wrongful act of another person such as negligence or medical malpractice.
